I joined a new network today, the One2One Network, at the EXACT right time it seems.  I’ve been watching all the excitement of my friends who went to BlissDomCanada, wishing I could have been there myself, and wondering if I’d possibly be able to attend the BlissDom ’11 conference coming up January 26-28, 2011, in Nashville, Tennessee.  So, of course I was quite excited when I signed up with One2One and discovered that they are giving away BlissDom 2011 Conference Packages.  WOOT!  I want to go to Blissdom ’11 (I hope to win a package) and here’s why!

The Top 10 Reasons I want to Attend BlissDom with One2One Network:
not necessarily in any particular order, except for #1!
#10 – Nashville:
I’ve been to Nashville a couple of times now.  Being a huge fan of country music and most things ‘southern’ I LOVE Nashville and the people there.  Such a beautiful place.  I imagine that Nashville in January is very nice (probably nicer in many ways than it was when I was there 10 years ago in August, about 7 months pregnant with my 2nd child, and not finding the humidity and heat very nice!).  I’d LOVE to go back to Nashville!
#9 – Opryland Hotel:
Now, I’ve visited the Gaylord Opryland Hotel… ohmigosh!  The Hotel is an event of it’s own, seriously!  I’ve also been to the Gaylord Texan in Dallas, and stayed in the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, both for business conferences, and all I have to say is WOW!  They are world-class resort hotels with so many things to do in the hotel itself (atriums, pools, cafes, shops, theatres, restaurants, shows…) that you don’t even have to get off-site to have a vacation!  Acres and acres of beautiful luxurious places and things to see.  Just being able to go to the Opryland Hotel again would be fantastic!
#8 – The Best Conference Yet!!
What about the conference itself, BlissDom ’11?  From their website:

Blissdom is the premiere conference for women who find and express their bliss by publishing online.  Blissdom ‘11, our fifth conference (including the inaugural Blissdom Canada event held this past October in Toronto), is a welcoming oasis in the ever-changing blogging world. Speakers and panels featuring the best blogging, public relations and social media pros will be gathering to mentor new and old friends alike.

That definitely sounds like an event I would benefit from attending, on the whole!  There is so much for me to learn, and this will be an excellent venue for my ‘continuing education’ as a semi-professional blogger and social media maven.  But it gets better…
Also, this year is going to be their best year yet. They’ve got the kinks worked out, they’ve got the best brands to work with, and they’ve got the klout to be able to draw the best influencers in the industry. I want to be part of one of the best events for women in the blogosphere!
#7 – I Fit the Description:
According to the Blissdom website –

Who Should Attend Blissdom?

  • Women who find bliss by blogging and spending time on Internet social media sites. (CHECK!)
  • Women who love to learn more in a supportive, relaxed environment. (CHECK!)
  • Busy mom writers, bloggers and business women who need a break to reflect and grow. (CHECK! CHECK!)
  • PR pros and marketers who want to perfect their digital strategies and develop relationships with influential bloggers. (CHECK!)
  • People who are new to blogging or blogging conferences and want to know what it’s all about. (CHECK! new to blogging conferences anyway…)
  • Internet veterans who want a fresh perspective and cutting edge developments. (CHECK!)
  • YOU! (CHECK!!!!)
See!  It says it right there!  ME!  And I fit all the criteria!
#6 – The SWAG!
In general, I’m not really into ‘stuff’.  I’m not a material girl by nature (unless we’re talking FABRIC, but that’s a different story).  However, I heard about some of the beautiful, fun, useful, practical, and fantastic gifts that attendees of BlissdomCanada brought home.  Those Blissdom organizers and sponsors sure know how to treat their ladies! WOW!  The value of the take-aways alone would off-set a good portion of the conference fee, not to mention the exposure to new products for promotion on my own blog.
#5 – The Events (i.e. FUN!)
If you haven’t already guessed it, these blogger babes know how to have fun!  There are workshops, keynote speakers and breakout sessions like you’d expect with any conference.  But there was also “Costume Karaoke” at BlissdomCanada!  OH, the bliss!!  Two of my favorite things together – dressing up, and performing in front of a crowd of people!  I don’t know if there will be that kind of event in Nashville, but I DO know that there will be fun and interesting functions to take part in!
#4 – Friends and Connections!
There is a whole world of bloggers and other online friends who I have only ever met ONLINE.  They are people that I interact with on a regular basis and some who are very dear to me.  I would LOVE to meet them IRL (in real life).  Plus, the many people out there who I don’t know!  I’m the kind of girl who’s never met a stranger – they are all just friends I haven’t made yet!  And of course there are the connections to be made with industry leaders and brand representatives.  Networking opportunities galore!
Finishing up the countdown are the One2One Network Blissdom Conference Packages being given away.
#3 – SECOND Prize:
Full conference pass (includes Wisdom Workshops) A $500 value!
#2 – FIRST Prize:
Full conference pass (includes Wisdom Workshops), 2 nights at the Opryland Hotel!! An $800 value!
…and the #1 reason I Want to Attend BlissDom with One2One Network is…
#1 – The GRAND Prize:
Full conference pass (includes Wisdom Workshops), 3 nights at the Opryland Hotel, Nashville TN, AND airfare/travel to the conference (up to $500)!!! A $1500 value!
Wow, they are so generous!!
Any of these prizes would be GREAT to win!!  I would be SO excited to win a ‘most of my expenses paid’ trip to BlissDom ’11, or even a ‘some of my expenses paid’ trip!  Then I could actually go!
So, join me on One2One Network, and hopefully we’ll be seeing each other at Blissdom ’11 in Nashville in January!!
