Welcome to Weird Wednesdays, hosted by It’s OK to be WEIRD!
While shopping at our local Dollar Giant (I think that’s where we were – some kind of dollar store anyway), I came across this:
a $1.25 pregnancy test
It says it’s Health Canada licensed, over 99% accurate, easy to use, can be used anytime, with results as soon as 1 minute.
All that for $1.25? Hmmmm…..
I wonder, can you really trust it though? Not sure I would….
*** Join me in the weirdness… I KNOW you’ve encountered SOMETHING weird somewhere this week!! Leave me a comment and tell me all about it!! ***
I've seen those before too…umm…I don't buy it. No way! It's just like the Colgate at the dollar stores, they look the same, they look normal, but they have formaldehyde in them…sketchy!!
I saw your Tweet! I'm your newest follower and a step closer to your goal! *smiles*

Can i make a confession? I've bought one. I bought it at a store near me called the dollar tree. It was accurate anyway. But Yea if you really weren't sure at all maybe spend a few more bucks. lol That's my confession for the day.
oh ps, i'm your 94th follower
Hey, saw the tweet, and am following, and honestly, my silly daughter was using these things from dollar tree too. UGH!!! I went and bought her the real deal, lol. OH, just had a baby, she did 4 months ago, keeps having scares.
Weird? Maybe- but also a lifesaver!!!! LOL! I'm working on cooking up baby #4, and I have literally spent hundreds of dollars on pregnancy tests. With this pregnancy, I bought a dozen dollar store tests and used one every day. It was AMAZING. And yes- they're accurate!!! (Anything with pink dye as opposed to blue is accurate.)
Thanks for following my blog! I am now following you too! You are SO close to 100! And BTW, I LOVE the premise of your blog. It IS okay to be wierd!!!
I found out I was pregnant with my second son with one of those! Of course my husband didn't believe me and made me buy one of the digital ones but it was accurate! I have the three year old to prove it! Great blog btw!
Im your 101!!! WOotWOOT!! I;ve got a goal of 1000 by Saturday…its looking grim:( Happy that you made yours:)
@ Truthful Mommy – WOO HOO! I'm so excited. Thanks for following!
@ Weight Loss Mother, @ GossamerJewelBox, and @ Angie – Well, there you have it! I never would have guessed that these were that accurate, but your experience tells me otherwise. Why pay more if they work, right? The key is pink dye, eh?
@Tanya and @ Cindi – I don't usually buy personal hygiene products at dollar stores, but I buy other things there. Many things aren't worth spending lots on anyway.
@Jael and @ Angie – thanks for following! I made it and now on to 150! 🙂
Completely accurate for me. Friend that works in hospital said it’s very similar to what they use.
I’ve heard that a few times now, and I’m surprised, but I totally believe you! And if they do work, and are accurate, why pay $15 when you can pay $1.25, right!? WOW!
