This is one of the recipes I mentioned in my Dinner Meal Plan from last week.
A beautiful, yummy and easy fall snack or dessert!
Candy Corn Bark
originally from Rachael @ Girlfriends With a Purpose
What you need:
A bag of pretzels (skinny small stick kind)
a package of Oreos
a package of seasonal candy corns
a brick of white chocolate candy coating / baker’s chocolate (about 500g – 750 g depending on how thick you want the chocolate – white chocolate chips don’t work as well as baker’s chocolate squares as they don’t melt as liquidy as the baker’s squares do – baker’s squares are better for pouring )
Step 1 – Break your pretzels up and spread all over a cookie sheet lined with wax paper (use enough to cover the cookie sheet in a relatively thin layer of pretzels).
Step 2- break up the Oreos and spread on top of Pretzels (you may not use a whole package – just use as many as you need, I used about 15).
Also sprinkle some of the candy corns on top of the Oreos (again, no exact measurement here, just until you think you’ve got enough, a few handfuls).
Step 3 – Melt your white chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals. Then pour on top of the pretzels, candy corn, and Oreos.
Also sprinkle a few candy corns on top to make pretty!
Step 4 – Put in freezer for 15-20 minutes or until it’s all set.
Step 5 – Break apart and Enjoy!!
My kiddos always like to eat the little bits left behind on the cookie sheet after the bark is all broken up.
It’s a good idea to store the bark in an air tight container in a cool place.
This is a HUGE hit at my house, well, everywhere I’ve taken it, really. Probably no where near healthy, but oh so yummy and super easy to make.
