Both of my boys played with Flubber in Preschool (they called it Flubber or Ooze or Gack or Goo… you get the idea).  The teacher gave us the ‘recipe’ so that we could make our own to play with at home.  It’s a blast!  We made some and gave it as birthday party favors for my son’s Shrek birthday (we made it green, so it was perfect).  This is just some clean family fun!  Thanks Mrs. C.!

Flubber

-Mix 1 ½ cups Water with 2 cups white glue
-In second bowl, mix 1 1/3 cups warm water and 2 tsp Borax
-Add approx. 10-20 drops of any food coloring to glue mixture – add glitter if desired
-SLOWLY add Borax mixture to glue mixture
-Use your hands to mix all together
-Soon it will be gooey and stretchy and not sloppy-wet or sticky
-Store in a resealable plastic bag

** After many uses, the mixture may get moldy.

** If the mixture gets dry or hard, put it into the microwave with a little water and warm it slightly. Work with hands and add water until the desired consistency.

** The Flubber has the consistency of very soft silly putty. It is VERY easy to clean up until it hardens. When hard, it is like very hard glue and may have to be “chipped off” the surface. It is recommended that Flubber be played with in the kitchen, where there are no carpeted areas.

HAVE FUN – It’s a Fantastic material!
