My kids were singing “Do – a deer, a female deer; Re – a drop of golden sun…” tonight. They got to a point where my middle son just had to be silly, and he started saying “doe-dee-doe-dee-doe-doe” and other funny stuff.
When he was doing that, another tune popped into my head and I laughed out loud. I told the kiddos I would have to find it so they could hear “this funny song I drove your dad nuts with when we were dating and first married.”
It took me 1/2 hour to find it because I couldn’t remember what it was called (DUH!) because the first time I ever heard it was on a webpage with a bunch of smileys. Was it the SmileyLand, or the Smiley Dance, or the Happy Dance, or Happy Land, or…?
Nope, it’s the HAMSTER DANCE!
If you’d like to see the Hamster Dance with hamsters, one of the earliest examples is on this website.
Wait until my sweetie gets home! He’ll be SO pleased that the kids jogged my memory today – NOT!!!
