Thank you for remembering our holiday. Did you at least get something yummy to eat yesterday? I’m still eating turkey and pie. I may explode any minute now.
It’s my holiday, too! I’m a dual citizen, living in Canada for 13 years now. It’s officially Christmas-time for me now, though it’s been Christmas-time for Canadians since Halloween. LOL!
We did have Turkey dinner yesterday, with leftovers enough to do it all over again tonight!
And we celebrate BOTH Canadian and American Thanksgivings, because we’re awesome like that!
Were you born in the U.S? My little E was born in Wichita,KS in oct 2010. We just received her Canadian citizen card in the mail! And yes you are pretty awesome like that!
Steph – we were both born and raised in the US. We moved to Canada in 1998 to go to graduate school thinking we’d go ‘home’. But this is home now! 🙂 Our kiddos were all born here, and we got them their ‘Record of Birth Abroad’ for them claiming their US Citizenship right after they were born because we knew it was important and we lived in Vancouver at the time with the consulate right there, so it was pretty simple. Hubby and I became Canadian citizens in September 2009. We’re very blessed to have been able to move to Canada and to become dual-citizens. We always laugh and say, “We’re Canadian by choice!” 🙂 Yay for getting your sweet little girl’s Canadian card! The world is open for her to explore with that!!
HI! I’m Raylene, and I am an American/ Canadian, recently moved back to New Mexico, USA.
I love lizards, chocolate, flowers, music, hedgehogs, late nights, being creative, and most things Sci Fi. I sing and dance my way through life. Yup, I admit it… I’m a little weird! “It’s OK to be WEIRD!” is my motto! I hope to help others to embrace their “inner weirdie” and to realize that we’re all a little weird in our own way.

Oh, so neat! I wish I had dual citizenship. Little E is one lucky girl and so are your little ones. It opens so many doors!
