In my menu plans I often have a meal during the week where we do breakfast for dinner. Most recently, it was Valentine’s Day, where we had Homemade Waffles with Whipped Cream and Strawberries. YUMMY!
SO I thought this week I would share our waffle recipe! ENJOY!
Waffles
3 cups flour
5 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
4 large eggs
2 1/4 cups milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup melted butter or margarine
Sift together into a large mixer bowl the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Put eggs into a small mixer bowl and beat for 1 minute. Add milk and vanilla to the eggs, stirring to combine well. Add liquid to the dry ingredients. Beat until well blended. Bake in a heated waffle iron until golden.
Serve with variety of toppings including, but not limited to:
syrups
apple butter
jelly
honey
strawberries or other fruit
whipped cream
etc.
