I’ve made the commitment to myself, and made up my mind that for my blog, and for myself, I am going to attend the biggest (only) blog conference that Canada has to offer!  The dates were announced today (or maybe late last night) and I’m SO excited!

I’m going to BlissdomCanada ’11 in Toronto, ON, October 13-15, 2011, and am looking for either full or partial sponsors to help cover the costs. I am VERY excited to be able to attend BlissdomCanada, learn about how to be a better blogger, and of course, to meet people (that’s “networking” for those business types)! I’ve never been to any blog conferences before – and I hear this is an event that Canadian bloggers DON’T want to miss! With only about 300 people from all across North America attending, this is an awesome opportunity I am really looking forward to!

About BlissdomCanada ’11:

Blissdom Canada is Canada’s first and only social media conference for women, by women; it’s an exploration and celebration of how, why, and in what ways women use the Internet and other digital tools to pursue, achieve and hold on to their bliss. Women from across North America will gather to discuss what it means to be a Canadian woman networking, publishing and pursuing both business and pleasure in a borderless online world. The Costs:

Conference Ticket: $198 (Ticket price includes admission to the conference programming, special parties for registrants, breakfasts and lunches.)
Hotel: $400.00 (#BlissdomCanada rate at the Hilton Toronto is $189/room/night, 2 pax sharing. Add’l pax $20 each, max 4 per room. Internet inc in rate. 13% tax. – I plan on sharing a room, but possibly having 4 nights instead of just the 3 conference nights, flying into Toronto on Wednesday instead of Thursday right before the conference begins.)
Flight: $300.00 (via WestJet flying from Calgary, AB to Toronto, ON)
Incidentals (meals, clothing, taxi fees, etc.)
Total Estimated Cost $1000-1200 (perhaps less with seat sales, etc.)
