Crappy ice trays – why do we keep crappy ice trays that cause serious ice tray aggravation????
We have 2 ice trays I absolutely hate.
I do not recall ever buying any ice trays anywhere, but we have 4 of them – 2 white trays, and 2 blue trays.
I seriously hate the white ones.
They are hard to stack and hard to crack.
I almost always end up with water down my front when I’m putting the white ones in the freezer to freeze. Then I often end up spilling a fair bit of the water in to the freezer.
And when they are frozen, they are the hardest ice trays to crack. Twist, turn, bang… nothing works. I even run water over the top or the bottom to get the ice to loosen up. The cubes always come out cracked and weird when they finally do come out. Usually, lots of ice chips end up on the counter and the floor. I NEVER get ice CUBES out of these ice trays.
Did I mention that I hate these white ice trays? They drive me bonkers!
So, I decided, instead of mumbling and grumbling and fighting with these 2 silly white ice trays, I am just getting rid of them.
I’m not even going to give them away, or take them to Salvation Army, or Streets Alive Mission, or anything. I don’t want to pass the ice tray aggravation to someone else.
I considered just throwing those dang ice trays in the garbage. There would have been something strangely satisfying about slamming the garbage can lid on those things. But I’m recycling them instead.
Those white ice trays are leaving my house forever. Because life is too short for crappy ice trays!
