happened to you this week!
There is no elf on my shelf as well..but more due to laziness than anything else. Merry Christmas!!
HAHA! I hear ya, Jen!! Sometimes I have wondered about why I started this tradition. In the end I’m glad I did, but sometimes I really just want to be lazy and forget about it! LOL!
Who needs an elf when you have Mary and Joseph, right?
lol, YUP Steph, that’s right! 🙂
Those elves are creepy…. 🙂
hehe- someone else (on twitter) said that too Shash!
I have no elf on the shelf either. As a matter of fact I did a post about it too!
I like your idea though, it’s always fun to slowly reveal things over time, especially to the little ones. My husband also finds that tactic slightly compelling, lol.
Tracy – I just about spit out my tea, I laughed so hard at your husband comment there! LOL!!! I’ll check out your post about Elf on a Shelf after I get mine written (today maybe!?). We love doing our nativity this way – kind of telling the story as we go! The kiddos are 12, 11 and almost 10 now and they STILL love it!
nope, no elf on our shelf either 🙂
🙂
No elves — or shelves in the Jubilant household. Well, closet shelves, but that’s it. I know the Elf is trendy, but I didn’t want to have to explain another mythical character to my children! Plus, he’s expensive . . . I’m cheap. lol
HEHE! I hear ya!
Forgot to mention, I like YOUR idea much, much better!
aw, thanks! I like this way too….. and I was doing it WAY before it was trendy! LOL! (post coming up, soon, hopefully!)
