We woke up to LOTS of heavy wet snow on Thursday morning last week. Then the wind started to blow. Around here, we call the winds like this Chinooks – pronounced shin-ook – which means “Snow Eater” in the language of one of the bands of Natives here in this area. That’s exactly what it did – it didn’t get much warmer, but the wind melted away the snow…. and I’m told that this weird weather IS Spring in Alberta!
Weird Wednesdays, hosted by It’s OK to be WEIRD! and Wordless Wednesday too!
*** Join me in the weirdness! I KNOW you’ve encountered SOMETHING weird somewhere this week!! Leave me a comment and tell me all about it!! And have a look around for more Weird Wednesdays here on my blog!***
And join Shasher’s Life and Tara’s View of the World for more Wordless Wednesday, too!
Yup! Only in Canada eh?! 🙂 LOL
We've had some wicked weird weather this winter.
It's STORMING out right now. Last week… I was suntanning on my front porch!
Happy WW!

snow sucks … I am so not enjoying ours!! lol
I love the pictures! My weird thing for the week was seeing a can of Spotted Dick at the grocery store. A real wtf moment, hahah!

I don't know that I would recognize weird if I did see it. And would remember it for more than 5 minutes??
I don't know. I can't think of anything weird that I have run into this week. I like your pictures though. I'm glad to be down here where it is warm.
Hmmm weirdness? I would have to say the lady that wanders aimlessly for years in my neighbourhood. She walks and walks and walks with tons of blankets on her. Shes truly lost but a fixture in my neighbourhood.
Is this weird well i think not but someone who fell through the cracks.
Bless her and hopefully in her lost world shes just as happy as we are in our world.
Happy weekend to yall eh!!
ScrewBDoo – sometimes weird is a result of sad things too. But we can still appreciate the weird anyway. I hope she is ok! We have a few 'weird' characters around our neighborhood too! Variety is the spice of life, right!?
Elle – LOL! I know what you mean about recognizing 'weird'. But that's kinda the point – what we think is normal might be someone else's weird. HAHA! It's warming up here, but SLOWLY! 🙂
Kassandra – ROFLOL! I've never seen one of those cans, but someone else mentioned it to me before. LOL! That will at least get your attention, eh? 🙂
Tara – yes, snow sucks. I hope ours is gone… for good now…. maybe….
Ruth – apparently everyone is having a weird spring. We're all looking forward to warmer weather anyway!
Shash – schizophrenic weather for sure! It makes me a little schizo myself! LOL!
