We were visiting some friends in the Red Deer area, and they had this WICKED storm the night before last. I took some video because it was just SO crazy. This video is from my iPhone – so it’s not the greatest, but it’s representative of what was going on that night.
This is a 15-second video clip, but that night it was nearly an hour of almost non-stop lightning like this. Cloud-to-cloud lightning with almost no thunder for the most part. I have seen a LOT of storms, but NEVER anything like this. It was awesome, and impressive and kinda freaky. After about 30 minutes, it finally rained a bit, and then ALL of a sudden it hailed. I’ll have to get a photo from my friend of the hail left on the deck the next morning (SEVERAL hours later, on a warm summer night).
