Welcome to WEIRD and Wordless Wednesday!
Almost always weird, and sometimes wordless, too.
My daughter’s first deer of the season – mule deer doe.
My oldest son’s first EVER deer! Also a mule deer doe. He wasted NO meat, with a crazy kneecap shot, and a 2nd shot right in the head. {Sorry, this was the ‘cleanest’ photo we had. With a clean shot like that, there just is a lot of blood…}
Wordless Wednesday is meant
to be a simple post which features a photo
to convey a message that speaks for itself without using words;
well not a lot of words!
Please feel free to link your Weird and Wordless (or Word-full) posts below.

what weird or wonderful things you’ve seen this week!
Talented hunters, both of them. Could do with their skills in our garden – the local herd keep demolishing the roses!
Oh no, Erika! That’s too bad. Our deer here (in town) just eat our crab apples. They haven’t tried to get over the fence into the back yard where other things are growing… yet. LOL!
my girls love to hunt with their dad too. my nine year old is going for the first time Thanksgiving day and she cant wait
Aw, that’s so awesome! I think mine were about that age, too when they first went. This is my son’s first year shooting, and my daughter’s 2nd. They take it all very seriously, even helping to clean, skin, and butcher the meat. I love that they can really appreciate where our food comes from, and that they are so careful with their shooting so as to harvest the animals as humanely as possible. They ROCK!
