Lots of people do a Menu-Planning Monday on their blog – I’m kind of a rebel though!  I do my menu plan when I know there’s enough money in the bank to go shopping, and that isn’t always the same day of the week!  LOL!

Actually, I’m working on more planning and routines.  And this is what worked for me this week.

So, I just thought I’d share my day’s work with you.  Planning and shopping (mostly shopping) today has just about worn me out.  Walking through Wal-Mart took way longer than it should have taken me, and my hips and back ache as a result of all the walking on the concrete floor.  (Whiplash still sucks!)

BUT, the plan is done, the groceries are bought, and since it’s what I did today, I decided to put it up here!

Menu for Dinners Oct 28 – Nov 5

Steamed veggies

Friday
Tomato Soup (kiddos)

Cheese slices

Saturday
Chicken Noodle Casserole
Salad ?

Sunday

Foccacia bread
Carrots and cucumbers

Monday
Moose Roast
stuffing

Tuesday
Chicken Corn Chowder
Fresh veggies

Wednesday

Thursday

Basamati rice

Friday
Leftovers or Chicken and Mushroom Soup

I usually fill in gaps with veggies (fresh or frozen) and sometimes with some bread.
I didn’t include any desserts in this written plan, though I have some ideas in mind.  We don’t do dessert every night (though my youngest son would very much like us to), so it isn’t a really big deal. I think we might do carmel popcorn balls on Sunday since we won’t be going trick or treating.  And we’ll have some candy corn bark as well.  That should be enough!
K, so I’m doing good to get a plan together that didn’t include Kraft Dinner (Macaroni and Cheese) or hot dogs, so please don’t harass me about the ‘nutritional content’ of this plan.  It’s all homemade (except the pizza, which I bought in the freezer section today), and that’s a big deal to me right now!
What are you having for dinner this week?
