Memory Verse Monday

WOW – Next Monday, a week from today, we start our Vacation Bible School.  I’m getting pretty excited.  Tomorrow I meet with one of my helpers for the Music part of things.  It’s going to be good!

Saddle Ridge Ranch VBS focuses on questions that children might have about God.  Each question is paired with a Bible verse that answers the question.  It’s a pretty cool set-up.

I’ve been spending my Memory Verse Mondays sharing and learning the scriptures for each day of the week of VBS.  They use a different version than I’m used to, so I thought it would be important to learn the verses the way they will be used, rather than just the way I’m accustomed to saying them.

2 more verses this week, so I can get all 5 in BEFORE VBS starts!

Day 4: How Can I Be like Jesus?

Bible Verse: Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus.  ~ Philippians 2:5 (HCSB)

This can be a tough one for me, I admit.  The Life Application for the day is, “I can be like Jesus. I can follow His example.”  That’s how I can make my own attitude that of Christ’s.

Day 5: What Do I Do Now??

Bible Verse: Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.  ~ James 1:5 (HCSB)

ANY of us?  WOW!  That’s great news.  I need to remember to ask for wisdom in more situations.

It’s going to be a great week of VBS!  I can’t wait to interact with the kiddos and share God’s love and His powerful transforming Words.
