The last 5 weeks I have had the privilege and pleasure of participating in a fantastic new online adventure for Pastors’ Wives and Women in Ministry.

Leading and Loving It is a community that connects, encourages, and supports pastors’ wives and women in ministry. They have been presenting The JustOne Virtual Conference. Being a virtual conference, it has been online as well as (amazingly) FREE!

Every Tuesday (or Wednesday) pastors’ wives from around the world (mostly the US and Canada) have been gathering around our computers for an hour to take part in the conference together.  From the comfort of my own couch (or my friend’s couch one week), I’ve signed in to watch the speakers and chat in the live chat with the other ladies also watching the conference at the same time.  Who would have ever thought this possible?

I’ve attended this virtual conference for the last 5 weeks and have gotten so much great information and encouragement in my role as a pastor’s wife.  The speakers have been so awesome, insightful, and I’ve learned something from every one of them.  It’s pumped me back up a bit, reminded me that I’m not alone, and encouraged me to keep on keepin’ on!

The topics have included Relationships, Marriage, Family, Time & Balance, and last week was on Growth.  There have been 3 speakers for each topic.  And the most fun thing is that even our speakers are connected online from all over the USA, each one presenting in their own way, in their own space (like on the back porch or in the living room of their homes or on the stage of their home church).

The JustOne Virtual Conference has one more week to go.  I don’t know why I didn’t think to post about it before (I’ve been Facebooking and Tweeting it like crazy!).

The last topic of the conference is Passion.  Should be a good one!  Check it out if you can – JustOne Conference: Tuesday and Wednesday Oct 12 and 13, and you can choose from 2 times on either one of those days – 9am PT or 6pm PT.

All you have to do is be on that site when the conference starts and it just plays for you – nothing technical to figure out.  Have your tea or coffee beside you, then sit back and take in the goodness of what these ladies have to share!

There’s a lot going on with this connection I’ve made – I wish I could remember who 1st told me ‘cuz they need a BIG Thank You!  I’ll definitely be sharing more about what I’ve gleaned from these fantastic pastors’ wives sharing from their own experiences, as well as sharing about the virtual community I’m not a part of as a result of this conference and Leading and Loving It.  It’s just awesome!

As pastors’ wives we need to make these kind of lasting connections with others who ‘get’ us.  That’s part of the beauty of this conference, and this group of ladies.  I’ll be sad when the conference is over, but I’m so glad that I’ve found this community.  God is very good, and He does provide for all of our needs.
