Welcome to Weird Wednesdays, hosted by It’s OK to be WEIRD!

This week it’s also (nearly) Wordless Wednesday!

Last week I mentioned how my boys had taken over my nativity scene.

Well, based on that custom alteration of the creche, I challenged my sons to come up with actual Lego Nativities.  This is my oldest son’s fantastic creation!

Right to Left – Han Solo as a shepherd with staff, rebel soldier as a wise man, short Lego guy laying down as baby Jesus, Mutt (from Indiana Jones) as Joseph, ‘Moon of Endor’ Princess Leia as Mary, upper parts of ewoks as sheep, and a tonton as a king’s camel loaded with treasure.

Not the best close up of the inside of the stable, but… anyway.  Wise man has gold and jewels to give as gifts to baby Jesus.  Mary and Joseph are on their backwards turned legs knees beside the manger.

This is just TOO cute!  He did a great job and I need to take better pictures of it in better light.  I’m so proud of him.  (BudBud is 10, and the artist in our family!)
