Normally I’d say I don’t mind change. New things are good. Creative new things are even better. But sometimes there’s a little something that changes and drives me batty!

Last night I updated my Mac to the latest operating system – Mountain Lion. Yes, I might be a little late to the party here, but everything was working fine on Snow Leopard (or whatever big cat I had prowling around inside my MacBook Pro). If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?

Anyway, the update needed to be done for another update I was trying to do, which required yet another update before I could do that one. So in the end one update became 5. But that’s another story.

When I got the new operating system (OS) setup on my computer, I started back tow ork right away. Everything is working fine, great really. But there’s this one little thing that caught my eye within seconds after restart.

The mouse cursor. The little hand with a pointing finger. It’s different.

Changed Cursors in Mountain Lion

That little pointy finger… It’s too pointy. It’s weird!  It’s unnatural. The finger is at such an odd angle. It just looks SO odd to me.

And it drives me bonkers!!!!

Such a little thing, but I look at my computer for HOURS every day, and this little finger is just… it’s just… wrong!

Yes, weird I know.

I’ll get used it to. It will probably be fine.

Probably.

Silly little pointer finger!
