Week 4 check in for my personal nutrition and fitness challenge, brought to you by Mission4Nutrition, my generous and lovely Blog Sponsors.

I’m enjoying this personal nutrition journey a lot!  The results are one thing, but working with Sarah & Emily from Mission4Nutrition is a real treat.  They are such encouragers and really easy to get along with.  Sarah and Emily are independent Herbalife distributors, and they are SO much more!  I think that’s part of what makes the program so great – the support!

Mission4Nutrition is all about helping people to move forward with their nutrition and wellness goals. So, when things are going well, Emily & Sarah are cheering you on and encouraging you in the good things you’re doing. And when things aren’t going well (because we all know that life gets in the way of our goals sometimes), Sarah & Emily are there to help you focus on what IS going well, and to identify the things that threw you off course, to help you get back on track. They ask great questions, with a true sense of concern.  The clear message is, “we’re going to figure this out together.” So you don’t feel alone in the struggles and you don’t have to feel like you must find all the answers on your own.

This is the kind of team I want on my side!  And this is a huge part of why I’m so excited to be working with Mission4Nutrition.

Do you ever feel like you’ve kinda gotten into a groove and you’re used to something enough that you kinda slack off with it?  Well, my week this week hasn’t been exactly like that, but almost.  I feel like I’m getting into a good rhythm with the Herbalife Program, and my nutrition routine is feeling pretty settled.  But what I did feel like this week was that I wasn’t as careful with EVERYTHING has I had been before.

I mentioned not having the best sleeping hours and entertaining a bit more stress than usual was probably working against me.  This week, snacking was my biggest battle.  Let’s see… there was: the ice cream floats the whole family had last Friday night for game night, the chocolate covered almonds that my husband shared with me on BOTH days of my son’s little league baseball tournament last weekend while we were drinking Dr Pepper in the hot sun, the bowl of ice cream with a few chocolate chips he brought me after Vancouver’s big loss on Monday night, and the Starbucks grande green tea latte that I drank while shopping at Safeway yesterday.  I enjoyed every last one of those things!  Having any one (or even two) of those things would have been fine.  But it was like EVERY day since Friday that I had a ‘treat’… and that wasn’t good overall.

So what are my results this week?

First I have to say that a couple of my pairs of pants are seriously getting LOOSE!  They weren’t tight to begin with, but I keep having to pull them up. I guess I better break out my belt soon.

Second, Sweetie has wrapped his arms around my waist and said, “There’s noticeably less of you to wrap up these days.”  I was wearing a dress on Monday and he said, “Yes, you are definitely looking trimmer.” *Bonus points for Sweetie!*

Third, when I look in the mirror I really am noticing my tummy getting smaller.  After 3 c-sections I have this awful overhang above my incision scar.  *blush* That overhang is definitely getting smaller.

I’m still not making myself go to bed when I need to, but when I am going to sleep I am sleeping well.  I still have plenty of energy and I’m not feeling hungry during the day.  I haven’t walked much this week, though I did ‘play’ my favorite new Wii game “Dance Dance Revolution” and it counts as exercise!  LOL!

And the weigh-in results reflect ALL of the above. This week I’m EXACTLY where I was last week.  I know how much bodies fluctuate in weight from day to day, even from time to time during one day.  So that I’m still exactly the same weight is still a HUGE accomplishment for me, considering my daily overindulgence.

Overall weight change:  -5.5 lbs

I’ve been doing this since May 12 – so just at 4 weeks now.  Losing 5.5 lbs in 4 weeks is still fantastic in my book.  That’s just over a pound a week, and that’s great news.  And again, if I’m totally honest, just NOT gaining is a big success on a week like this one! 🙂
