Update #7 on my nutrition and weight-loss journey, in partnership with my GREAT Blog Sponsors Mission4Nutrition.
I’m in the weight-loss phase of the Herbalife Program. During this part of the program, I’m doing what they call the “3 Cup Plan”. I have 2 Formula 1 Shakes a day, one for breakfast, and one for lunch, with a colorful meal for dinner, plus a couple of light snacks during the day.
Breakfast for me is “3 Cups”, and also includes some of the other core nutrition products from Herbalife.
Cup 1: I start with Herbal Aloe Concentrate – 3 capfuls of concentrate in 100ml of water.
Cup 2: Then I have a glass of the Herbal Tea Concentrate (250ml).
Cup 3: Next, I have my Shake includes:
- Formula 1 Meal Replacement Shake mix
- Protein Drink Mix
- Personalized Protein Powder
- about 400ml of water
I also take 2 tablets of the Herbalife Multivitamin and Mineral Complex and 1 capsule of the Herblife Cell Activator.
By the time I finish drinking all of that, I’m pretty full!
The point of the 3 cups is that in those 3 cups you’re getting the Core Nutrition to start your day.
I know from some of the things that I’ve read about healthy lifestyles that having several glasses of water first thing in the morning is very helpful for cleansing your system. The Herbal Aloe does just that – it’s a natural digestive cleanser, with good enzymes to keep the digestive system working well. I talked about the Herbal Tea Concentrate before, and the green tea in the concentrate helps to rev up your metabolism and get things cranking. The amount that I’m drinking in the mornings also helps ensure good kidney and bladder health. I have dealt with kidney stones and bladder infections in the past, but have had ZERO issues with those things since I started the Herbalife Program.
So, it definitely feels like my overall health is improving on the Herbalife Program!
And weight loss is obviously one of the goals.
This week, I’m down 1.2lbs, too.
Total weight change over 7 weeks: -7.9 lbs
I had some ups and downs this week in how I felt about how things were going, but I’ve been tracking my food and water intake as well as my exercise with an online tracking system set up by Herbalife. Keeping track of things has helped me to know exactly where I’m at with my nutrition, and allows me to adjust accordingly. The tracking program will be live on online in July, and I’ll write more about it when it’s officially launched.
