Update for Week 8 of my nutrition and weight-loss journey, in partnership with my FANTASTIC Blog Sponsors Mission4Nutrition.
It’s hard to believe it’s already been 2 months since I started on the Herbalife Program. This week I just have time for a quick update, but I’ve got some fun things to tell you about in the next few weeks. I’ll be sharing about the Herbal Aloe Concentrate and my favorite Herbalife product, the Deluxe Protein Bars, and lots of other things.
Weigh-In Wednesday = weighing in, right?
Drum roll, please……..
This week, I’m down another 1.8lbs!!
Total weight change over 8 weeks: -9.7 lbs
With Canada Day (July 1) and Independence Day (July 4) I figured I might have held steady on my weight again this week. We had some fun desserts both of those days, but I was careful not to over-indulge, and have been tracking my eating, water intake, and exercise, too. I think it makes a big difference just to pay attention to what’s going in your mouth!
I’m THRILLED to be down again this week, and even MORE excited because one of my goals was to decrease my BMI (Body Mass Index) to a more healthy range (a by-product of losing weight, and a different way of looking at the numbers). With the loss this week, I’ve dropped from the “Obese” range of the BMI scale to the “Overweight” range of the scale. *blush* I hate to even say that out loud, but I’m still just SO excited to be dropping that number, and also decreasing my health risks in the process.
Sarah was excited today, too, when I shared the news of another sizeable loss. I love it that I have someone cheering for me! And Sweetie messaged me on Facebook while he was out today just to find out how my weigh-in went this morning. Having a team around for support makes a HUGE difference in the process, too, I think! That’s part of why I enjoy working with Mission4Nutrition SO much (and the results are fantastic)!

GREAT job girl!
I’m working on weight loss to, so far down about 8 pounds in 2 weeks. I have a lot to lose though (is there a category above obese?!?) ~ i love how you have a great online support team!
Smiles,
Jody
8 lbs in 2 weeks!? WOW! That’s amazing. Good for you, Jody!!!!!
now *in my best mommy voice* “Be careful not to lose too much too fast!” LOL! I know you probably already know that.
It’s taken me 8 weeks to lose almost 10 lbs, but it’s been steady sustainable loss. Most of the fast loss happens when you’re losing water, which isn’t always a good thing. I have been determined that this weight is not going to come back, and so slow and steady will win this race for me! I’ve heard more than once that 1-2 lbs lost per week is most healthy. Not everyone wants to hear that ‘cuz they want to lose fast. I figure, if our bodies normally GAIN 5 lbs a year, and I’m losing about 1lb a week, I’m WAY ahead of the game! HEHE!
Support makes a huge different, doesn’t it Jody!? Love my support, those online, and mostly those in real life! 🙂
Yay! So excited that you are doing so well. I have been off my exercise routine & eating totally bad (summer is a horrible time for me for that). I’m hoping I will be back in a routine soon. Just have to get past a few event weeks first. Ugh.
Summer IS tough, Merry, it just is. I went camping this weekend, and we’ll see how far back it set me. It’s hard to be ‘good’ when there’s smores and chips and other yummy camp foods, not to mention having bad allergies so feeling really bad and not getting much sleep – the will power goes OUT the window! LOL!
