You never know what could come from 1 simple question!  I asked a local friend about the company she represents, and whether or not she knew if they sponsor people or blogs (thinking toward my Blissdom Canada attendance).  That simple question has resulted in a partnership that we’re both so excited about!

Introducing my new Blog Sponsors: Mission4Nutrition!

Mission4Nutrition is a home business partnership between two sisters-in-law, Emily and Sarah Olfert. They may be ‘in-laws’ but they are sisters at heart, and they love working together. Emily and Sarah are wellness coaches and independent Herbalife distributors.

I have set some personal health and fitness goals that all culminate around the BlissdomCanada event coming up in October.  I want to look and feel better when I show up in Toronto!  Emily and Sarah are SUPER excited about the results they have personally had with Herbalife, but also about the results they are seeing in the people that they are coaching.  They want to get the word out to as many people as possible, and to document the possibilities with a REAL person (that would be ME!).  SO, Mission4Nutrition is sponsoring my weight loss journey from now until the conference!!

Each Wednesday, I’ll be weighing in – I’ll be posting my +/- (weight gain or loss) as well as information about the system we’re using to get the results we’re seeing, the products we’re using, and whatever we’re doing to tweek things along the way.

Weigh-In Wednesday: Week 1

My health and wellness goals include:

  • decreasing my Body Mass Index (BMI) to a more optimum level, which requires weight loss
  • increasing my energy, especially to be more involved with my kiddos
  • being more active – walking 3-5 times a week at the VERY least
  • feeling better in general (fewer aches and pains, stomach aches, etc.)
  • looking better
  • losing 25-35 lbs before BlissdomCanada (which is 21 weeks from TODAY!)

I’m officially too chicken to post my actual weight, though I will say that I started at a number less than I thought I was, and that I’ve been at this weight consistently for about 2.5 years now – no yo-yo, and no gain for 2.5 years seems like a pretty good thing to me, to start with.  But I know I need to lose weight for my health.

Well, I’ve only officially been using the Herbalife products since Thursday of last week.  Emily and Sarah have set me up with the ‘full meal deal’ so to speak.  What I’ve been using for the last 6 days:

  • Herbal Tea Concentrate (to boost metabolism, drink 1st thing in the morning)
  • Herbal Aloe Concentrate
  • Herbalife shakes (Meal Replacement Shake Mix + Protein Drink Mix + Personalized Protein Powder all mixed for a calculated amount of protein intake) for breakfast and lunch
  • A morning snack with good protein, some veggies and/or fruit
  • Herbalife Protein Bar for an afternoon snack
  • A ‘colorful’ meal of my choice for dinner, including good veggies, whole grains and protein

I’ve been a bit more active this week, taking walks with the kiddos while we’re at ball games or just walking around the block in the evenings, but nothing I’d necessarily call ‘exercise’.  I was also working hard on a few things this week, which had me up late several nights.  When I’m tired, I tend to snack.  I was trying to pick good snacks, but I also got a little treat (i.e., Mother’s Day candies) in the mail from MomCentral, and I’d grab one or two of those little yummies every once in a while.  I was having a cup of our homemade hot cocoa each night, too, after coming home from ball games and being FREEZING from the cold wind.  That cocoa mix isn’t exactly low-sugar (made with NesQuick, non-dairy creamer, powdered milk and powdered sugar) but it’s low-fat and YUMMY!

Anyway, knowing that I wasn’t being as careful as I possibly could have been, and not obsessing about jumping on the scale during the week, I really had no idea what to expect at weigh-in.  I kinda figured as long as I didn’t gain, I was good.

Guess what!?

I actually lost 2.5 lbs!!!

Having seen results, even with my non-perfect efforts, I’m SUPER excited!  And you should have heard Emily and Sarah WHOOP with me when I weighed in.  They are just as excited as I am!

Starting today I’ve added 2 products to my routine, completing the “Core Nutrition” products in the Herbalife line:

  • Cell Activator
  • Multivitamin Mineral Complex

I can’t wait to tell you more about each of the products, about Emily and Sarah and Mission4Nutrition, and about how the whole experience is going. Stay tuned each week for Weigh-In Wednesdays!

In the meantime, Emily and Sarah are just getting started with their online presence for their business, so please check out their Mission4Nutrition Facebook Fan Page (LIKE them please!) and their brand new blog at Mission4Nutrition.ca.
